Country Charm Wedding

It was a picture perfect Autumn's day, the sun high in the sky, not a cloud to be seen and a temperate 26 degrees. So Jesse (my assistant) and I set off, destination Loxley on Bellbird Hill  http://www.loxleyonbellbirdhill.com.au/ at the base of the  Blue Mountains, just outside of Windsor to set up a country rustic inspired wedding that only the night before looked liked it was on the brink of being flooded out by NSW recent tarential rains.

After dropping off the bridal party flowers to the all in all, pretty relaxed bride, bride's maids and family to an impressive country style manor, set in amongst an orange grove, we continued on our way up the hill to the venue, both agreeing that the house itself would of been the perfect venue for the wedding and seriously how perfect was this weather!

We set off again, only to arrive to an even more magnificent venue and wow, what a view, spectacular, complete with horses, an abundance of green fields and dotted with sweet country gardens.

The look and feel - Country, rustic charm using a palette of creamy whites, pale apricots and soft pinks, with a hint of lavender, using a combination of maiden hair ferns, David Austin Roses, baby's breath, dahlias, hydrangeas, using a collection of vintage bottles, vases and jars, an antique, rustic kitchen table and wicker baskets.

Everything was set, flowers and styling complete, so after a cool drink of water, Jesse and I got a rare treat, we we're invited to witness the ceremony and marriage of Aimee and her groom. My assistants words - perfection!

So the flowers and styling we're a huge hit, hugs all round and then we we're off, back to the hustle and bustle of old Sydney town, with a sense of great satisfaction and accomplishment that we had done it again, channeled our clients hopes and dreams into a visually spectacular celebration that will be remebered forever......
